Bungalow Bag

I bought this pattern and of course I couldn't stand it I had to change something. It called for small store bought handles, which I changed to one longer handle so I could wear it on my shoulder. I think next time I would put 2 shorted fabric handles and interface the outside fabric because it is flimsy.
I love the Moda fab ric and using my Baby Lock is such a dream.

My Hobo pattern tweaked

This is a picture of the inside and the outside of a purse I designed last year and revisied recently. I call it my Hobo. I added a long strap so this could be worn across the body and gave it to mt niece Susan.

Melly and Me purses I made.

The one of the top is the Toffee Aoole which forced me to learn how to sew in elastic which in on the pockets on the end and also to do a drawstring at the top.
I think it is good to raise the bar so to speak but sometimes frustrating. I think it turned outnice and Connie fell in love with it and of course I gave it to her.
The second one is called Sherbet and it is smaller than I like and did not turn out at all like I thought it would but it is adorable and i gave it to Ellen the friend who cleans for me. She was thrilled. If I make it again I will make it larger. I like the larger bags myself.I really don't carry a lot I just like to be able to find things when I reach or look inside the bag.

I discovered Melly and Me who make purse pattern and are in Australia. I bought a couple and made them, but really struggled because they were advanced for me, but I finally suceeded.

Birdie sling Pattern by Amy Butler-top designer

I made the Birdie sling the first time and did not box the outside bag corners and it made it much bigger and less thick. I gave it to Connie and she loves it. Then I made it with pinks for me (my favorite color) and aboxed the outside fabric corners and prefer it that way.

I love amy Butler's patterns and need the lengthy explanations and the way they teach as they explain. She is responsible for my being able to install a zipper!!!!!

Long Time No "See" new creations using Amy Butler's Patterns

Amy Butler -top designer-Frenchy Bags Pattern

I love this pattern and made the cutest purse using Moda L'esprit Provence quilted fabric and did not have to interface it. I also used my Baby lock espire which I truly love, I want the elisimo too.

I love her patterns and attended a workshop she conducted in Texas 1 1/2 ys ago and was amazed at hos sweet and nice she was to everyone and so unassuming and pretty too.
Her designs are awesome and her patterns are worth the extra cost because she explains everything. It was her stash and dash that taught me how to install a zipper. Yeah
